Crysis 2 Editor

Crytek has now released their Crysis 2 Editor package with the all-new CryENGINE 3 Sandbox Editor, allowing you to create custom maps, mods and content for Crysis 2. The package also includes various tools, such as FMOD Designer, Poly Bump, plugins for Maya, 3ds Max and more. You’ll also find some sample assets in the package, to help you get started with your mods.

On top of that, Crytek has also announced that they have relaunched their modding portal www.crymod.com where you are able to discuss and share all of your Crysis 2 maps and mods. The portal sports a brand new design and features and is aimed at those who are starting with the Editor as well as as people looking to show off their work.

You can head on over to www.crymod.com to grab the editor, or here is a direct link for you.

Confused, does the console get access to user generated mods? If so I may pick this game up.
