Dead Island Invades PlayStation Home

Have a PS3 and want some Dead Island goodies? Well look no further, Deep Silver just announced that they have partnered with Sony to convert the PlayStation Home into a zombie infested Central Plaza prior to the games release in September.

But that’s not all, players will also have the ability to craft items and beat the hell out of a horde of zombies with up to 4 other players just like in the actual game. In all, there are a total of 10 mini-game challenges, complete them all and you will be awards with an exclusive in-game weapon “Exploding Meat”. I’m not sure what that is exactly but a bomb covered meat product comes to mind.

Once you’re done beating on the undead, you can go on over and get your photo taken with one of them, just in case you get sentimental. Oh and if you’re really interested in how you might hold up against a real world zombie invasion you’ll be able to take a survey.

“Each week will introduce more levels and unlockable content including a premium PlayStation Home reward ‘Exploding Zombie Outfit’ for players that pre-order Dead Island directly from Home’s Central Plaza and the aforementioned ‘Exploding Meat’, a powerful weapon for use in Dead Island that can only be acquired by surviving the PlayStation Home onslaught.“
