Here are some new screenshots of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, that UTV Ignition has just released. For those of you that don’t know what this game is about, may want to look into it a little. I don’t consider myself religious, but it still tickles my fancy due to the history and the religion. So what this game about you ask? Well it’s a character action game which is based on the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of 972 texts from the Hebrew Bible and other extra Biblical documents found between 1947 and 1956 which are supposedly the oldest known surviving biblical documents. So what happens; is God has a group of angels watch over humanity. The angels tells God sure thing but then kind of start doing their own thing.

God gets upset and says that he is going to start a big flood on earth to reset everything. Enoch who is a human scribe in Heaven isn’t to crazy about this idea and tells God to relax. God says okay, but you have to capture all of the angels that have run astray. This is where your quest begins…
